Kat Nykiel is a PhD candidate in Dr. Alejandro Strachan’s lab at Purdue University. Her research interests include high-throughput density functional theory, semi-supervised machine learning, and 2D materials.

Outside of research, Kat enjoys reading, coffee, and playing cello.
